Welcome to HappySquidMuffin!

Art has always been a part of my life. Ever since I could pick up a pencil, I have been doodling and creating. Teachers smiled and shook their heads at the strange creatures I drew in my margins of my homework in elementary school. When my Grandma Weber taught me how to crochet at age 12, my life changed forever. I crocheted here and there for a while, not taking it seriously until middle school, when I began creating my own plush crocheted animals and giving and selling them to schoolmates and friends.

It wasn't until late 2010 however, that I discovered Etsy and realized that I had the potential to transform my urge to create into a business. HappySquidMuffin was born Nov 16th, 2010. I had just discovered the fun of sculpting with polymer clay, and that was the main focus in my shop.

When I decided that it was time to start selling my crocheted creations however, that was when I really discovered my identity as an artist and craftsperson. I knew that with my talents I could create pretty much anything that I wanted, and they were tangible, soft cuddly things that could be displayed, played with, loved and enjoyed.

I hope that I can continue to expand my shop and grow as an artist and businesswoman. I absolutely LOVE what I do, and I hope that I can share that joy with you too. Thank you for visiting!
